Delivery and refunds

Last updated: 7 September 2026.

These terms cover books and other goods bought from Eternal Tales®, an imprint of Animated Creative Ltd, registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI740092.

Printed to order

Before the Myth is printed to order. Your paperback is printed when you buy it and posted when it is bound. Nothing about your order is a deposit or a subscription: you are buying the book.

When it arrives

Paperbacks are printed and posted by our printer and usually leave within seven working days of your order. Tracked post is offered at checkout beside the standard services, and if you choose it your tracking number reaches you by email on the day the parcel goes.

The delivery cost for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.

Your right to change your mind

You may cancel for any reason from the moment you order until fourteen days after your book arrives. You do not need a reason and you do not need our agreement. Tell us at info@eternaltales.ie and we will refund the price of the book and the standard delivery charge you paid.

If you chose a delivery option costing more than our standard one, we refund the standard rate.

Returning a book you have cancelled

You have a further fourteen days from telling us to send it back. Return postage is yours to pay unless the book arrived damaged or faulty, in which case it is ours. Please send it in a way you can track, because we can only refund what arrives or what you can show you sent.

If your book arrives damaged

Tell us with a photograph and we will replace it. We will not usually ask you to send a damaged book back, because the postage costs more than the book and there is no sense in either of us paying it.

Refunds

Within fourteen days of the book coming back to us, or of you showing us it is on its way, whichever is sooner. Refunds go back to the card or account the payment came from.

The Collector’s Edition

The Collector’s Edition is fifty copies, and fifty is all there will be of this edition. Each copy is signed and numbered by the author, and posted from Northern Ireland with the postage included in the price within Ireland and the UK. The digital edition of the book comes with every copy. The books come to the author first to be signed, so they are posted by hand and not by the printer, and the right to change your mind above applies to them as it does to the paperback.

The digital edition is delivered the moment your order completes and has no separate price. By ticking the box at checkout you agree to that immediate delivery and accept that your right to cancel the digital edition ends when it is delivered. If your hardback comes back to us, the digital edition came with it, so please delete your download.

Faults and your statutory rights

Nothing on this page affects your legal rights. Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and if they are not you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
